NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Avenal invites public review and comment on the environmental document listed below.  The public review period begins on Tuesday May 24, 2022 and ends on Wednesday June 22, 2022.  Written comments concerning the adequacy of the document will be accepted until 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday June 1, 2022, at the City of Avenal, City Hall, 919 Skyline Blvd., Avenal, CA 93204. The document is posted in the City Hall’s office, available at the City’s Community Development Agency, or can be provided electronically by requesting a copy from Kao Nou Yang at the following phone number or email (559) 401-9854,


  1. Tentative Tract Map No. 21-01 (Oasis Valley) – A proposal to divide approximately 24.63 acre into 111 single residential lots located within the Northwestern part of Avenal, CA, generally located north of San Benito Street and West of “A” Avenue, Avenal. Assessor’s Parcel No. The project shall include construction of 111 Single Family Residents.  1 lot for stormwater detention basin, and a 2-lot pocket park. All street improvements shall be constructed to conform to City’s Improvement Standards.

The City of Avenal Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider the environmental document for the proposed land division that is listed above.  The public hearing will be held on Monday July 11, 2022, at 6:00 P.M., or soon thereafter, in the City of Avenal Council Chambers, in the Avenal Theater, 233 E Kings Street, Avenal, CA 93204.  Interested parties are invited to appear and present evidence or make statements of fact regarding the proposed land division.  For more information regarding the proposed project please call Kao Nou Yang, of the City of Avenal Community & Economic Development Department, at (559) 401-9854.
