DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:

Amigo Market currently owns and operates a 600 square foot supermarket on a 14,000 square foot parcel. The applicant seeks to relocate his business down the street on five existing parcels, demolishing an existing building used for storage, and build a new 12,500 square foot supermarket with parking and a 2,800 square foot detached storage, with landscaping pursuant to the Avenal Zoning Ordinance.


CURRENT USE OF THE SITE: Storage building (previously a supermarket), empty lots.


SURROUNDING LAND USES AND SETTING: Surrounding uses are Downtown Commercial and Community Commercial, such as a pharmacy, restaurants, and a gas station.
