The City of Avenal appreciates and values its excellent working relationship with the business and property owners and developers. Each business in the City is required to obtain a business license. Prior to receiving a business license, all businesses operating within the City are required to contact the Planning Division to determine if said proposed use for the business is permitted or have been permitted on the site address or if the proposed business can be constructed, remodeled or demolished on property being proposed. 

The quality of life in Avenal is directly impacted by the sense of security of its residents and businesses
